Looks like the crown was cut from outside to inside. If it shoots good don’t worry about it. My OCD would take over and I’d have it in my lathe. Some Factory crowns are surprisingly bad, but that’s part of a factory rifle. Never seen one like that on a tikka. 🤷🏼‍♂️

IIRC it was a 28” plate. Just mild steel, maybe 1/4” thick. Coulda been 5/16”.

The 100 TTSX works. No matter what you’re shooting, if you don’t make good shot placement, blood trail won’t be there. Normally, when using the Barnes, you don’t need a blood trail.

I shoot it in all my bolt Grendel’s and it expands good. I’ve shot deer out to maybe 120 and hogs out to a little past 200 and it has performed perfectly. Hope this helps. I’m loading over 29.6 8208. Could probably go higher but just never took the time to work any further.
