Is anyone out there running the Cutting edge 180 max 7mm? I am wondering what your using for a bc. I asked CEB and they said it's out for testing but estimate it at .650. Looking to see if that's correct.

I have one with a 31" barrel and throated for a 3.500" coal. Running the 175 X at 3150 fps with outstanding results below is a pic of a group shot at 1020yds. I had a bit of an issue with a carbon ring but now resolved.
Thanks MudRunner,
I here of many 28 being built with a COAL of 3.7"ish. Then brag about the velocity they are getting. Here is no denying that Noslers data is ****. If paying the price for a custom 28 or a custom RUM were my options, go with a RUM and have a short throat or a Wyatt's box like...
As we've seen with the 28, the Nosler data is most likely skewed by bbl length, powder choice, and COAL. Bottom line displacement=velocity. Efficiency is another game. I'd like to see some real world numbers once they start showing up.
Maybe I'm missing something but won't any action that will fir a 28 will fit a STW or Ultra. At least in Remington, Savage, Weatherby, or Winchester???
I have a 30" barrel and throated for a 3.5" coal. I was quite happy with it. QL predicts 2800fps from a 22" barrel. It is the magnum in a non-magnum case. LOL
I'm running the 175 X's with 63gr RL26 and my gun seems to love it. I'm at 50rounds now and last 25 have been at woodchucks 700yds to 1100yds. Printed a 8" group on the steel plate at 1020yds. It's throated long for length of 3.5".
