Resurrecting this-asking about those who may have swapped the stock to an HNT26. Any issues? How was the swap?

Took my 30-06 back out on the long distance range. Cold bore @ 720 yards was a hit, ~10" low. 2nd, center hit. 2 more at 840, 2 hits. Took it out to 1040, 2 for 3. 4 of 6 at 1200 yards. WInd calls were my problem, not the gun. Packed it up and headed out hunting. Took at 155" whitetail at 330...

Finally able to take the 30-06 Ultralight out to do some long range shooting over 2 days. In total, 80 rounds through the pipe and it was shooting venn diagrams out of the box. Had two new rifles, Bergara HMR 65cm and this. The Bergara needed about 80 rounds to break-in and started at 1.25...

Yet I realize I am at another disadvantage. No calipers. As mentioned by others, I am also worried the stock won't provide the rigidity i desire. Time will tell. All Savages in the past have been shooters and there is no reason to believe this one would be different.
