If it's just a one time deal you'd be better of buying a Ti Rem or Browning and stripping it down. Ti is expensive and machining it is not easy or affordable.

300 WSM and 325WSM have the same capacity correct? If so it would be easy to size. As for it's effectiveness or ballistic potential I will leave that to someone who knows more than I.
The SMK's were not designed for hunting but seem to yeild good results. Here is my take on it...
It was designed as a match round that found it's way into Military use. Hunters (the long range sort especially) tried it for it and some found it satisfactory for game.
