    Which suppressor

All those are solid choices. You can’t make a bad decision with those cans. You’re at the point of just needing to commit and jump. Also, in my experience you don’t see a degradation of accuracy with a can. You will normally see some impact shift, but it’s generally not awful. Heavier cans on...

    Which suppressor

I have gone the route several have discussed in this thread. I have DT cans for my bolt guns and QD for my AR’s. Personally I think it’s the best way to roll. I hated the QD mounts on my bolt rifles and it limited which cans I used because I was then limited to my QD cans. I currently own 14...

    Tikka T3x CTR or Varmint

I have the CTR in 6.5 Creedmoor and it might be the most accurate rifle I own. It regularly shoots 5 shot groups in the 2’s and 3’s with hunting bullets. I do have the 24” barrel and wish it was the 20“, but I’m a suppressor guy through and through though. I never changed the stock. It shot so...

Seeking Advice on Long-Range, General-Use Binos:

I used to have a set of 8.5 Swaro EL’s that I used for years. They were a wonderful pair of bino’s, but I found when glassing with friends at distance, there were times when I couldn’t pick out the game they saw with the 8.5’s. I would ask to look through their 10 power glass and would be able...

Bullet runout after salt bath annealing and seating

On the RCBS dies, are you using the bullet “window” feature, and is the bullet held in the die until you begin seating?

    MPA or Magpul Pro?

I’ve got a bunch of the MPA chassis's, and I absolutely love them. I’ve looked at the Magpul, but all the plastic doesn’t do much for me. I know it’s a quality chassis, and people I know who have them like them, but it just doesn’t give me the warm and fuzzies. The MPA’s are a solid platform...

    Adjusting ballistics app data help

I will add and agree that density altitude is easy to work with if you have a way to easily get the density altitude number. I have a Kestrel and it gives a density altitude. I’ve also got Magpul data books, and they have a density altitude chart in the front of your log. I’ve compared it to the...

    Adjusting ballistics app data help

First, where is your muzzle velocity coming from? Have you chronographed the load? Have you chronographed enough shots to have a good average? What BC are you using? If it’s a G1, and you’ve chronographed your load, I’d look for a Litz verified G7. G1 BC’s degrade as the velocity drops, so once...

    Diminishing returns on reloading dies

If the bullet window is holding the bullet the pin is still in there.

    Diminishing returns on reloading dies

In the RCBS competition dies, you need to take the little pin out that holds the bullet in the window. This is what is creating the .006” of runout. With the little pin removed these dies will generally load ammo with less than .001” of runout on well prepped cases. The little pin is held in...

Any experience with Leupold VX-3i LRP line?

    Awesome! Hope you like them!

Any experience with Leupold VX-3i LRP line?

It does have a zero stop. It tracks the revolutions by a sleeve that drops down from the turret as you dial. There are 5 mils per revolution, and the sleeve is marked at 5, 10 & 15, along with gradient marks. Makes it super fast to see where I’m at. The more I’ve used it the more I like it.

Any experience with Leupold VX-3i LRP line?

I have six of them, and think they are pretty dang good optics for the money. I’ve got 2 of the 4.5-14’s, both in TMR’s, and 4 of the 6.5-20’s. I’ve shot most of them to a mile. Tracks wonderfully, and the glass is crisp and bright. Especially in low light. I think the elevation knob is ugly as...
