    Burris Veracity PH

I have the 5-20 Version. It’s on a 22-204R AR that I put together recently. I haven’t had a whole lot of time behind it, but the glass quality is equal to its price point/competitors. Tracking seems decent. I only have 65 rounds down the barrel, and I’ve loaded up some test ammo to try and...

Post your .22LR target pics, please! 😁

Testing the SK LR in my 10-22 with a Feddersen barrel and Kidd trigger. CTC .323” at 50y. Shooting from my deck with a rolled up towel for support!

Recommend a forgiving bow to draw....

I agree with the previously mentioned “go to a GOOD bow shop”. All of this seems so subjective. I shot the new biotech and couldn’t stand how it loud the arrow popped off the string, and the hand shock was distracting. Tell whoever what your needs are and pick the bow that checks the boxes. The...

Recommend a forgiving bow to draw....

Put a new Mathews Phase 4 together last month. I got the 33” model, and it shoots like a dream. Quiet and dead in the hand at the shot. Heavier arrows are even quieter. VERY accurate and forgiving. Love the stay in the field system as well. Already pulled off the factory original string/cables...

    243/6mm rifle build...thoughts?

The next bolt gun will be a 6mm-6.5PRC, but that’s another discussion entirely.

    243/6mm rifle build...thoughts?

I’ve started using a LOT of Lapua brass in the last few years…and also started going down the neck-turning/neck tension rabbit hole too. Again…splitting hairs!!! I love it though. Technically an addict and not a hobbyist, but I’m not one to point fingers.

    243/6mm rifle build...thoughts?

I’m in the OP’s boat as well. A well used AR10T .243 with a 24” 10 twist. Silly accurate, but pretty much stuck with the 87 vmax due to the slow twist. Killed a boat load of stuff with it over the years, and it’s getting tired. I already have a 6 CM bolt gun and it’s great too! However the .243...

    Savage 110 Elite Precision

I have two of them. This is the .223 with the factory barrel. It’s now wearing a Proof. The Proof is more consistent, but the Savage barrel shot more impressive groups! The other is a 300 PRC that will eventually get some other carbon 30” 8 twist. Just needs to go on a diet. handloads in that...

    Match bullets vs. speed goats….

Find a good load you intend to use on the speed goats and go roll a few coyotes with it. There’s your data.

Hunting in autumn/winter vs hunting in spring/summer in Italy. Animals disappearing in grass, hunting style, bipods

It’s flat(er) out in the eastern plains of Colorado than up in the mountains or Dolomites, etc. It makes it really hard to get shots sometimes, but that is a difference from hunting predators where you can pick a “stand” vs spotting and attempting to get to a suitable shooting position. Going...

Hunting in autumn/winter vs hunting in spring/summer in Italy. Animals disappearing in grass, hunting style, bipods

Simone, devi vedere una cosa…I’ll finish in English. The TALL Harris bipod can get you above the vegetation quite nicely in many cases. Sitting on a foam folding stadium style seat and using a hasty type sling, stability is second only to prone. I’ve been using this for years when the grass gets...

    Maximum lethal range-175 elite hunter

I just pay attention to the MV, and then impact velocity. I try not to sneak below 2000 fps unless I’m REALLY familiar with the bullet and its construction. For coyote loads, I’ve even loaded up 2 rounds of whatever bullet with almost a full case of trail boss, and shot a carcass hanging from a...

Waddya mean gas guns dont shoot?

26” 8 twist WOA shooting an 80 AMAX with Lapua brass, 24.? Gr Varget and a CCI 450. Speed is right at 2900. This is 5 shots on steel at 425y. That’s my index finger. AR’s are PLENTY accurate. Using a VLD magazine so 2.450” OAL is easy. Brass doesn't get chewed up at all. OSS (HUXWRX now) can and...
