I like my .308 only .30 cal I'll own ..went to 35 whelen & 25-06. Witch came from a 30-06 .... I reload & shoot a lot so the 308 takes 10-20 grs less of powder means I can get more rds per lb less recoil to just my 2 cents
Mainly the whelen it's a lot of gun for a small single shot but the area i hunt is thick brush ...100 yds max. With a 10 mph wind. And the sun shing just right
