Eform approved today! Phone meeting with Silencer central was April 11th. How long after being approved until I receive it? I think I saw it was a couple weeks.

Looking for a high grade Walnut stock for a remington 700 long action. Saw some grade C custom shop Remingtons from back in the day and really liked them.

I put one on my gray laminate stock this spring. Using an Atlas bipod knock off to see if I like the general design. So far no complaints. But it also hasn't seen any real hard use.

Good to know. I have a 6.5 STW that I worked up a load for the 147 ELD-M. I'm hoping the extra speeds helps. But I think the .338s are a different animal all together because of the size of them. The doe I shot at 50 yards had pieces of lung outside the deer when I found her.

I've taken several deer with the 285 ELDs in my edge. Can't remember if they were Ms or Xs as I've shot both out of it. But it does a number on deer. I've only stretched it between 50 and 500 yards. Devastating results. Always a massive blood trail. But amazes me how some have ran 30 or 40 yards.

Overall length is 3.825. I can't speak much on temp stability. I've heard some good reports and some not.

I've had good results with the 285gr ELDs and RL-33. Getting 2900fps from a 28" bartlein.

I gained about 100fps switching to RL-33 from H1000. But I don't think its as temp stable.

Hi all, looking for some advice on a starting load for my 6.5 STW 1-8 twist. Has anyone has luck running the 143 ELDs out of these? I've heard they may come apart at higher speeds. Thinking 80gr of RL33 would be ok to start. I've seen a few people talk about running RL33 in their 6.5-300s but...

I'm at 2900fps with 101gr of RL33 behind a 285 ELDX. 28" Barlein barrel. Very faint ejector mark. Also gotten 10 reloads on Nosler brass. Very happy with that stuff.

Not sure if it's been mentioned in this thread yet, but there is a pretty good comparison of the 2 ELD bullets on YouTube. Food for thought.
