    Bullet for 44 mag rifle

Thanks I was just looking for something that was loaded or unloaded that was for a longer carbine barrel rather than a short pistol barrel. Seems that pistol rounds would not burn slow enough to get the maximum advantage out of the longer tube. It was a long shot LOL

    Bullet for 44 mag rifle

Does anyone know of a relatively higher BC bullet that can be used in a 44 Magnum rifle and a good powder or two. Trying to find something better than pistol bullets.

    Kimber 8400's Accurate??

I came across a thread on owner satisfaction with Kimbers with many, many respondents on www.24hourcampfire The overall flavor of it was something like 30-50 percent were happy with guns that shot 1.5 inches or less and functioned reliable. The rest were very, very unhappy with unreliable...

    Does anyone own a 2.5 x10 x 40 4200 Bushnell?

Thanks for the reply and for the specs on the bell. Never even considered the rear end. Do you think regular medium height leupold rings would be a good choice? I was wanting those Burris rings with the inserts.

    Does anyone own a 2.5 x10 x 40 4200 Bushnell?

I have one on order and need to get some rings ordered. Bushnell tech support (or website) could not provide outside diameter of objective bell so I'm unsure if I need medium or high Burris Signiture rings. Any help appreciated. The scope is going on a calling rig LVSF 700 in .17 Remington...

Costco Member Need Price check on D-40 Nikon

I got an email from Costco about the D-40 Nikon w/ 18-55 lens kit, but it won't give me the price. Can somebody check it for me? They are 40 miles away, but a good price, might make joining worthwhile. I want one with a USA warrenty--maybe that's the catch. Thanks in advance

125gr BT Ballistics for new 300-WSM Project

That is a cool project. Would also make a heck of a bean field rifle on whitetails. For what you want would it not be better to do the 300 WSM necked to 7mm pushing 120 grain Ballistic Tips w/ B.C. .417

Need advice on scope purchase for light weight predator rig

I already own a 2.5 x 8 Leupy w/ standard duplex and love it, but find it a little lacking on the high end as my eyes get older. I thought also about their heavy duplex, but worried it might negate long range precision on groundhogs and load development. I knew that firefly had to be hit with a...

Need advice on scope purchase for light weight predator rig

I need a scope for a Remington LVSF in .17 Remington. Will be using Berger 25 and 30 grain match bullets. This gun will be used for predator calling (coyote, fox and bobcat) and some occasional summer groundhog shooting. Shots will be mostly 20 yards to 100 yards when predator hunting and may...

New barrel maker with new technology

In regard to this ability to customize the twist of the barrel, is there a "formula" to spec the theoretical perfect twist for a specific bullet in a specific caliber at a specific velocity?
