I have a 20 year old M77 MARK II and 17 years ago I had a good friend bed and float it in the factory wood and with factory or reloads it shoots sub moa and have shoot 1/2 moa on good days{that loose NUT behind the trigger}. I would sure give it a try. Good luck and let us Know how it goes.

Great gun. Mine is pre 64 as well and was my great grandfathers. My son made 5th generation to kill deer with and also have a model 100 in 308 win that has 5 generation deer kills under its belt. Can't wait for the grandsons (3) to get old enough to make it 6 generations.

Sounds like fun. Growing up we would shoot red wasp off the nest and hoovering. as long as you did not hit the nest you could get all of them without ****ing them off.:D

My vote goes to the 7mm because of the selection of box ammo and componets for reloading.
