I once got a reading of 3460 with my 300 Weatherby and 180gr Nosler BT's, If that was true it would have been cool but I never messed with the load anymore to verify after I posted velocities on here and some people got excited and said that was way out of line for that round and bullet weight...

We are actually down around 1000-1500ft here. I have wondered about using lighter bullets. I know I won't be able to get them to touch the lands, as my reamer was made for 208 Amax but would still be much less than factory Weatherby freebore, so I don't see why it wouldn't shoot.
