With the scorpion King from Lane be an okay choice?

If a person has a variety of calibers from .17 HMR up to 270win can one suppressor do the job or do they need a couple of different ones? It will probably end up being a Lane. Any suggestions?

What is very lightly used 2 year old Leopold VX5 HD 2–10x42 30mm Duplex CDS Scope realistically worth?

What would you folks recommend for a scope to put on a .17 HMR? I don't want or need anything fancy and expensive because I will just be messing around with it and getting some younger people started shooting. More than likely just targets and prairie dogs.
