    Idaho wolf hunt

Wardens are so low on the information and political scale as to have an equally uninformed opinion as the general public, unfortunately. His opinion only, not based detailed knowledge. As for the "key" of proper management, I can tell you what I call proper management and what wolf lovers call...

    Hunting with E-bikes

That is some funny stuff! Nobody pays highway use taxes (commonly called gas tax) on bicycles. Uninformed response, but funny, none-the-less. https://www.investopedia.com/gas-taxes-and-what-you-need-to-know-5118477 But I do pay for trails with my taxes...

    Idaho wolf hunt

I grew up ranching sheep in Idaho. Sheep mountain out of Blackfoot Idaho was part of our summer range. One of our herders killed three black wolves the summer of 1972, long before the feds "reported" releasing wolves. We reported the kills to IDFG and they said it couldn't be possible, until...

Wyo Task Force - Nonres Comments!

Idaho just greatly restricted our out of state tags too and about time. Wish they had cut it even more. Good on Wyoming. I would like to see it down to a lottery for out of state tags and held to less than 5% of all tags sold. No preference points to buy your way to the top.

    Hunting with E-bikes

Great article, and getting on in my 60's I still bike regularly. But this article convinced me to get an e-bike for hunting. The forest service and BLM will come around and implement the new directives. For the "holier than thou" horse folks, I look forward to a day when I don't have to see...

    Idaho wolf hunt

I have spent time, sponsored legislation, had legislation passed, and worked closely with F&G as a BLM field manager. I know them well and what I am talking about. I was and am still an active player "on the field" No lectures, "education" and recommendations needed, thank you.

    Idaho wolf hunt

They needed stepping on....no, STOMPING ON. The IDFG has dragged their feet and screwed around too long because wolf tags are revenue and the IDFG is a hot bed of eco-liberal, anti-hunter, pro-predator biologists that resist any reasonable measures to keep the wolf numbers at 400-500 wolves...

    Idaho wolf hunt

I helped work on the legislation.....the F&G didn't go far enough with their regs...I suspect that the legislature will jack them up if they don't loosen their regs to match the legislation.

I did fly fishing during the day on the N. Fork of the Boise River. Good time.

    Idaho wolf hunt

Just got back from 3 days out hunting wolves in the Boise River Basin. There were no packs in the mid-elevation areas currently. I spoke with the camp tender of a local sheep outfit with two bands of sheep in the area and they had not seen nor heard any as of late. There was an over...

    Hog durability question

Short answer...yes. As long as you don't hit then in the CNS, it will knock them down temporarily and they will get back up. Little know fact....after the Comanche obtained firearms, this was a preferred method of capturing wild horses. Of course, the Americans and especially the US Army...
