I cronied 5 yesterday, average fps was 2950...a bit slower than I`d expected, but they shoot to same POI as the 175 Sierras I use for hunting. They also shot into 1/2 inch. I have no pressure signs, so could possably push 1/2 grn more. That would get me closer to 3K. I have not tried Retumbo...

Interesting read...I`m working with a 7 Wby,9 x26 PAC-NOR. My load for the berger 180 Hy-Brid is 70.2 grn of H1000. Just shot my first 400 yrd groups yesterday, 2.25 inches, but have not cronied yet. I would be happy with 3K. I hope you fella`s get the results your after, considering the pain...

I`ve got relitives down near Dayton, and from what they tell me, they got woodchucks. May be a different spot in the State than you, but in general, is it hard getting on land to hunt? They do not hunt, so don`t know. Thanks

Well, just recieved my 7mm 180 Berger Hybrid`s, and was able to shoot a load with H1000 last nite at 300. 1.75 inch 3 shot group. Looks promising. Now on to 4, 5, then 600. If they stay well under MOA, I`m a happy camper. I`ll keep you posted.

So you`re shooting about 1/2 MOA at both distances? Elevation looked good at 2" or so, and maybe some mild dispersion for wind. Looks good to me.....but try it again to conferm.

Good advice all, and bad stuff begins to happen after 300 yrds, IME. Another reason practice is so important. The scope sure could be an issue, but so could wind and mirage. Try to shoot when conditions are favorable, not always possible, but I will try to test on an overcast day to eliminate...
