    264 win help

The standard 264 win mag throat is pretty short. You might want to have it throated deeper or get a custom reamer with a longer throat to take advantage of your additional mag length. I am getting one built right now and had a custom reamer made with a 6.5 prc throat size and length. "Should"...

    Cheap high-power scope

I would recommend the Sightron S-Tac. In my opinion, it is a little better than the others at this price point.

    Rifles for kids small stature

I bought the cheapest wood stock I could find (bought one used on ebay or gunbroker). Cut it down myself to fit my kid. I then used a slip on recoil pad. Only way I could get a stock short enough. I did end up having to tape on a cheek piece in order for them to line up with the scope.

    6mm xc

I know everyone is going to say Varget is too fast burning for the 6XC, but that is what performs the best in my rifle. I use 36 grains with Berger 108, hornady 108, or sierra 107 with F205M primer. Seated .010 off the lands. Right at 3000 fps. Single digit ES and shoots awesome.

    Primers!

In my 6 creed using H4350 the SRP (CCI 450) does show more velocity drop in temps below freezing than it does with LRP (F210M). Something to keep in mind. F210M vs F210 depends more on your particular load. I have loads that shoot better with standard CCI 200 than F210M. Won't know until you...

"Normal" weight bullets in fast twist 270 win

Looking to rebarrel a 270 win with a 1:8 twist barrel. Planning on shooting heavies for better downrange performance, but I would still like the option to shoot normal 130 gr bullets. Will the faster twist still work OK with these lighter bullets? Mostly concerned with the small selection of...

Which McMillan Stock For A Varmint Rifle

Both. I also shoot PRS with an A3. Mine shoot exactly the same from a bench with a front rest, prone with a bipod, or shooting over an obstacle resting on a gamechanger bag.

Which McMillan Stock For A Varmint Rifle

I run the A3 with adjustable cheekpiece and LOP spacers on my prairie dog rifles. The shallow angle on the bottom of the buttstock is great for making small elevation changes by moving the rear bag forward or back. All the adjustments make the gun fit me and makes for comfortable shooting. I...

Ruger long range target in 6.5 PRC - short chamber?

I ran into the same problem with a RPR in 6mm Creedmoor. After a few rounds it went away. I assume the very tight throat clearance along with a few burrs from reaming was the culprit.

    Ga precision

Very accurate. Their bedding work is fantastic. You won't be disappointed with the rifle. The wait can be long sometimes.

Leica 2800.com What am I missing?

Make sure your rangefinder has the same click value as your scope. Typically MOA, MILS, or inches per 100 yards.

    Ruger MK11 stock options

Your 338 win mag will work in the HS precision. I have one on my 264 win mag. They are both regular long actions. They are referring to the 416 rigby sized magnum actions that are actually stamped ruger magnum on the action. Get this one to fit the larger barrel contour on your 338...

    Dialing on the newer leupolds.

VX3i 4.5-14x40 on my smokeless muzzleloader VX5HD 3-15x44 on my 264 win mag VX6HD 3-18x44 on my 22 creedmoor All three dial great, return to zero great, and I haven't had to adjust zero yet. The VX5HD 3-15 in my opinion is the best deal out there. I am still amazed how good it is for the...
