    SOLD/EXPIRED SAKO/GA Precision TRG-42 300 Norma Mag

That's a great setup. Horrible timing for me, I've off work for two months for shoulder surgery or it would be mine. I have a trg22 folder that is my favorite rifle.

really need help with rifle build off my remington 700

You definitely don't need to have the action trued. I had two rifles that shot just as good as my others but they weren't trued even though they were supposed to have been done. Long story short, I got screwed but it did teach me that having an action trued isn't that important.

Brass Prep for long range accuracy

Everyone claims these groups but how repeatable are they? It's one thing to shoot good groups on calm days when you cherry pick the conditions. This is why all these great shots we always read about are rarely repeated at competitions, especially the elr matches.

Brass Prep for long range accuracy

I was referring to Facebook posts of his. I haven't seen that issue and neither have my friends that shoot it. I'm sure he shoots a lot of it though so he probably has ran into it. It's about like anything made anymore, quality suffers to try and keep up with demand.

Brass Prep for long range accuracy

If you want a great example of what factory ammo is capable of, look at the 300 norma improved builds that Ryan Pierce does. He shoots the rifles with factory Berger ammo and shoots in the .1"s and .2"s consistently. Berger's extreme spread is impressive as well on their ammo. I'm not...

Brass Prep for long range accuracy

Out to a mile with some calibers. Why is it so hard to believe? 1k is easy with factory ammo especially with 6.5 prc, 300 prc, 300 win mag, 338 lapua...yes, magnums. As far as reloading, everyone has a different method of reloading. Just because it isn't the same as the op's method doesn't...

Brass Prep for long range accuracy

Seriously? Berger ammo is a great example of sub moa ammo that plenty of people run. Do you believe everyone buys it if it can't shoot sub moa. This thread is comical

Brass Prep for long range accuracy

Plenty of people shoot factory ammo with sub moa results even at that distance. Virgin brass isn't the problem.

    Trouble getting consistent shoulder setback.

I ran into this when I started using a giraud trimmer and noticed the variation when measuring trim lengths. I ended up finding that I didn't lube the inside of the neck enough.

Velocity spread based off load or reloading practices

I know that is all the father in law uses but he is lucky to hold minute of coyote at 100 yards lol. I would be curious to see how much variation there is in weight from one scoop to another.

Velocity spread based off load or reloading practices

Good reloading practices are important to get low sd's but load development plays a big part in it too. I have several 260's and I have 2 different loads that I use depending on the rifle. I can take one and get single digit sd's in at least one rifle and that same load will be in the high...

    How do YOU afford this...

I was fortunate enough to have a really good paying job for a few years and spent quite a bit on this hobby when I quit traveling. I make a lot less money now so I might buy one big item a year to add to the collection. I usually volunteer for overtime when available and that goes towards my toys.

    Availability of H1000 and Retumbo

I just bought some rl26 to try in my 6.5 saum, I would have done a pressure test yesterday if I didn't leave my barrel sitting on the floor. It's supposed to get better velocity than h1000 but it isn't easy to find. I know several people that like rl33 for the lapua but it's temp sensitive and...
