    Hornady .264 HP BT

My brother has some photos. I will have him send them to me. Okie, I would never believe that this was possible until I experienced it. I have been doing this long enough to understand that specific bullet performance is sometimes hard to reproduce again. I learned a valuable lesson and a buck...

    Hornady .264 HP BT

ultimag, the shot was not on or through any bones whatsoever. The bullet disintegrated on soft tissue without any bones around except ribs and the bullet never made it to the ribs. This was a bullet failure, and I don't want other hunters to make the same poor bullet choice that I made. I never...

    Hornady .264 HP BT

Last fall I was going to zero in my rifle for some 6.5 Creedmoor,143 ELDX cartridges that I had loaded the year before, but was consumed with trying to get my sisters rifle to shoot accurately. I had been shooting the Hornady 140 grain HP target bullets so very accurately that I left well enough...

    6.5 Creedmoor AR10 question

I'm very pleased with my Aero/Criterion combination. I shoot 1/2" groups at 100 yds regularly and the reliability is excellent. At 500 yds 3-4" groups. I have knocked a good number of deer down with it too. I started out with a toolcraft bolt carrier but I blew primers to easily and switched to...

    6.5 Creedmoor AR10 question

It seems that I used the Aero recommended, stock M-5 carbine buffer kit.

    6.5 Creedmoor AR10 question

Oops, my barrel is 22 not 20 inches. Your post started me thinking mine was 22", so I checked.

    6.5 Creedmoor AR10 question

I have a 20 inch Criterion hybrid barrel. I handload for accuracy, not velocity, estimating my velocity by bullet drop not a chronograph. 140s fly around 2600 fps. Bisbee AZ is my home.

    Brass catcher

When I don't have my brass catcher with me, I'll hang my trucker cap off my scope turret and the brass falls straight down.

    2022 AZ ELK Draw

Well dang! I was drawn, I don't know if it's bull or cow yet, but I'm quite happy either way.

    Gun Recommendation after shoulder surgery

I had a particular nasty rotator cuff, muscle detachment repaired a month before deer season. I went out hunting with the BIG awkward sling that holds your arm bent and angled. I shot a coues buck with an AR-10, 6.5 Creedmoor. Shooting was not a problem for me, dragging the buck out was. My...

    6.5 Creedmoor AR10 question

I never have. Using an Aero M-5, I figure the bolt mass and velocity will jam the cartridge into the chamber. I set my F.L. re-sizing die over a 1/6" from contact with the shell holder, five years in, this has never been a problem yet.

    powder funnel blues

Thanks Guys, since my old tried and true funnel works great for everything I reload except the two twenty threes, I have ordered a Satern .22 funnel. Bisbee

    powder funnel blues

I have been using my RCBS powder funnel since 1979. I'm tired of spilling fine ball powder around 22 caliber necks. My funnel just barely fits on a 22 neck, any misalignment and the powder spills out around the neck. I wonder if the RCBS 17-20 cal funnel would fit on 22 cal necks. What do you...
