    Leupold customer service

Couple of months back I emailed leupold Australia about a tracking issue with a 1.5-5, VX111 which must be around 18 years old. I've had this on my sendero 7mm rem mag and a few other high power rifles. Well started to get flyers so after changing scope confirmed the leupold had an issue. The...

    Berger 6mm 80gr varmint FB

Anyone using these 80gr varmint and how do they perform on your coyotes out to 500yards. I recently found a load using the berger 87gr vld hunting that shoots better than .5 at 200 yards but when I went to get some goat for the freezer these pills were drilling holes straight through. I really...

    Remington 700 SS scraping brass

You mention it dosnt do it when you cycle a round with the magazine box out. It could be the edge of the bolt. All my cases get a slight mark from the bolt as it slides across the round in the magazine as a new one is being fed in the chamber but its nothing to worry about

    Scope bubble level clarity

I just tried holding the bubble in front of me and its relatively clear using both eyes focusing on it but when I and take aim through the scope and get a bubble picture that's where it gets blurry. Maybe I just can't focus on both things together.

    Scope bubble level clarity

50 years young next week. Start using glasses in the last month to read the fine print but no problem reading a mag from normal reading distance. Hmm maybe it is the old eyes. Well guess I'll just have to get use to it as I can still see the bubble line. Suppose is will still be ok as greyfox...

    Scope bubble level clarity

Hi all, I purchased a flatline Ops scope bubble and mounted it the other day on my custom 243. First time use with one of these but when I take aim and look at the bubble it's quite blurry. I've tried mounting it near the ocular on my NXS and as far as it will go towards the objective bell. I...

Wowzer! Can .5 grain make that big of a difference?

Its great when we see tight groups like that. I just spent quite alot on a custom action and did ladder testing and round robbin. I thought best I would get was 3/4" at 100 and the group size was shooter error. Then I changed seating depth by only .002"and man did that change things completey...

How much bullet jump do you like? On VLD type

I followed the berger process and it definately works. Groups really stood out at .015" from lands Hope the OP dont mind asking here but I found a nice load that shot .531 at 200 yards. Reloaaded some more to repeat my test and my seating depth was .002" closer to lands that my previous loadsand...

Ok after talking to a guy this morning he told me there is a semi retired gunsmith in my small town. Got in touch with him and to my luck he has barrel vise,, action clamp etc and for a carton of beer he said he will remove and reinstall the barrel for a carton of beer. So next week he will...

    Bedding rifle help

Totally agree, but the rifle has only 1 box of factory rounds through the barrel and my nearest certified cerakoter is over 600 mile way. No big deal to remove the devcon later as i will only bed the action enough to what is required as when the time arrives I'll fit a new barrel at the same...

    Bedding rifle help

I'm hearing ya. I will just do the tang and lug area that way when I get it cerakoted and if there's any issues I will have less devcon to remove. I very much appreciate your opinion Sir, thanyou

    Using parallax for range estimating

Valid point but perhaps one could decrease the amount of zoom to minimize the effect of mirage. Worth looking into though, thanks

    Using parallax for range estimating

Apologies if this has been talked about before, but do any of you use parallax to range estimate for hunting purposes. I would like to invest in a quality range finder one day but at the moment still putting money into my rifle. I have a NF 5.5-22x and was thinking about going down to the 1000...
