    Testing Cases After Resizing?

I am having the same issue with a new weatherby 308. Once fired cases, fully resized, trimmed, and chamfered. I measured the cases after trimming to insure proper length. I believe that it is in the shoulder of the case. Is the only way to correct to fire form the case to the new chamber?

Ammo advise for 300 win mag

The only issue with high speed is that you need to find a rapid expanding bullet. If the bullet doesn't expand rapidly, you may pass thru if it doesn't hit bone and not do enough damage for a quick kill. The key is to find the right bullet construction.

Ammo advise for 300 win mag

I have been shooting a 300 with 180grn for many years on elk and wild boar and all I can say If you hit them in the right spot, they won't run 400 yards. Maybe 50. I use sierra spire point boat tail with 71grains of H4831. That will take down a moose.

Mine will shoot 1/2 to 5/8 MOA. You can drop the bullet wt. and charge to reduce coil even more. There...

I don't know about that. I lived there for years. Half of N Idaho is from CA.

Rick, Your 30-06 is more than ample for both deer and elk. A 150 grain bullet is flat shooting and will have enough energy to put either of them down with proper shot placement. Also, the recoil shouldn't be too bad. I have used one for deer, elk, bear, and wild boar. The muzzle brake helps a...
