They are 16” and Winchester super x 150 grain power points. Those bullets are relatively cheap and shoot tiny holes with virtually any 308 I shoot them out of. So much so I have about 10k of them sitting here
This is a painful thread. I probably have 70+ firearms that I have purchased that I “had” to have, and have never shot. So many that I am going to take about 20 to my buddy to put on GB this week. I really need to stop for 30 days after I decide to buy one to see if I really any it or not.
I have 3 of them and I put them on Remington CP’s rebarreled to 6CM for my small boys. They work extremely well. I put the folder on a thermal gun and had to replace it because you have to crawl the stock so much on a thermal gun that the hinge for the fold was hitting me in the face. That...
I have around 10 6 creedmoors as my boys can handle the recoil and shoot them well. My oldest started deer hunting at 6 and my youngest at 4. They shoot them extremely well and they have killed deer with them out to 300 yards. I stretch them a good bit more. Theirs wear a 12.5” barrel.
I would like to hunt a trophy quality Antelope next year with a very reputable guide. I always bring the wife and two boys- 5 and 10. Need a family friendly experience. Any suggestions?
Neither is being a jerk. You came off as a jerk for no reason whatsoever. How about, just be a nice person? In all honesty, it’s not that hard to be nice. It’s just a decision you have to make.
The Swarovski NL is in a class by itself. The light weight. Slim body, ultra smooth zoom are all insane. I have a 12x and a 10x32. They are just so easy and convenient to use.
I had the R until I was on a hunt in Kansas and they got run over. I replaced them with the 3020.com and hated them. I have two Swarovski EL ranges and the Leica 30200.com. I did like the Leica R.. I did not like the leica 3200.com.
I would say that the Leica R is equivalent to the Swarovski...
I wish the 700 based .22’s were more suited for hunting. Nothing about a 10+ lb squirrel rifle sounds fun. I have two vudoo and they are great target guns but way too heavy and unwieldy for a squirrel gun.
I went down this rabbit hole last year and this year. I ended up with-
2 Vudoo- stupid accurate and smooth but way too heavy to hunt with.
Cooper- will not feed
Three Volquartsen- I think they are overpriced for the average accuracy
Anshutz- classy, light, accurate
Ruger 77/22- light and...
My boys started hunting one at 4 and one at 6. My oldest was by far smaller at the same age as his younger brother. Now they are 5 and 10 (but only about a pound apart.
I made MANY mistakes with my 10 year old and trying to get him a gun he could shoot. Manufactures do a really poor job of...
