Long action on the Rem Mountain laminate ?

Shot the 60gr. GS for over a year in a .224 TTH with a 1in 8 twist and never had a failure. Switched over to the TSX when they came out and still no failures. Have been loading them in a 22-243 ACK. lately and still no failures. It has a 1 in 7 twist and cronograph 3760.

I had no trouble with the vacuum, but I used new brass so the pockets were tight. I did put about 4 in. of cat litter in the bottom to help with any moisture. I'm going to do another one this week and put a vacuum sealed barrell into it to see what happens. I'll leave it for a couple months then...

Sealed primers, vacume packed, dug 12 in. hole 60 in. deep,placed caped 10 in. pvc in hole and filled around with quick crete. Filled her up, placed cap on top, covered with plastic and covered with soil. Sealed threads on cap with silicon. Hope it works!!!!

Sorry to hear your bad luck on the chamber. I just picked up a new VTR in 308 last week. I broke it in and then stuck a stiff charge of 748 under a 130 TSX . Ran it through the chrony at 3145 avg. with the 5 shot group going .346 in. Just wish they would bring this rifle out in a 7-08 also.
