    Anyone burn Re#33 in a 6.5 PRC

You might also give IMR 7977 a try

    Pac-nor barrels and gunsmithing

Count me as a repeat customer. I've had a few barrels from them, all are better shooters than I am. My best is my 6.5x55 SE that they did. Trued the action up, evened out the lugs for better contact. During workup of my loads, midway through the series, I shot a .33" group. Stopped right there...

    Accubond LONGRANGE 6.5, 142gr performance

I'm currently using them in to cartridges. In my 6.5x55 I'm getting .3" groups at 100 when I do my part. I've taken 3 axis and 4 whitetail doe with this rifle, all through the shoulders and all were complete pass-through with every animal dropping in their tracks. The 2nd cartridge is the 264...

    Need .264 Win Mag Help

Chad, it's a featherweight. I don't have the exact load. Co. truck burned most of the garage and my loading book and some of the ammo went up with it back in '18. As I recall, the load was around 75 gr. Win cases, Rem 9 1/2 primer. In my rifle I hit pressure signs around 77-78.

    Load Development... what’s your process

Some rifles I do similar to most - shoot 2 at each load and look for a flat spot in the velocity. I have also used the 2 or 3 shots at horizontally placed dots and look for a 'level' spot/range. Then I have also done the 3 shot groups. Just depends on what it takes to get that rifle to shoot...

    Sig whiskey 5

Running a Whiskey 5 3-15 on a Tikka 308. Tracts very well. Glass is clear and sharp. Eyebox could be a bit longer but not so short as to cause any kissing of the eyebrow. I've only taken it out to 500 yards a couple of times. Total round count with the scope is around 200 without going to my log...

    .264 win mag handloading

Retumbo, IMR 8133 and RL 33 are three powders I see a lot of folks using with the 140 class of bullets. My personal loads are with RL 33 and the 142 Nosler AB LR. Winchester cases and Rem 9 1/2 primers.

    6.5 prc vs 6.5-06

Thought hard on the 6.5-06 but in the end I went with the Newton rifle in 256. Make my brass from .270 as I have 2 25-06's in the safe and don't want to screw things up. If I can get out to the range again, I'll keep working on the load. Planning on either 123 gr Scenars or 129 gr ABLR.

    Looking for a bullet

In my 243 I'm using the 90 gr Accubonds. They do this at 500 yards: In my last 7mm-08 I used the 140 Nosler Ballistic Tips out to 400. I'm just now working on my new 7mm-08 and I'll use the same bullet.

    .358 Winchester experience anyone?

Mine started out life as a Mark X 30-06. Pac-nor 22" barrel. Loved the factory 200 gr rounds so I loaded some up to their fps and put three sxs @ 100 measuring 3/8". Took it out a few weeks later and took an axis buck @ 150 yards. Entry behind the near shoulder and in front of the off-side...

Where are people having luck seating ABLR?

142gr at .05 in my Swede. Same bullet in the 264wm is at .1. .33" group in the Swede and .75" in the 264.

Thoughts on 264WM vs 6.5 PRC for new rifle build/buy?

I'm another that really enjoys his 264 WM. Shooting the LRAB @ 3250 and .5" groups consistently. I don't shoot it hot. No reason to get to the re-barrel point any faster than I have to on a hunting rifle. As it is, I have just over 500 rounds down the barrel. I honestly don't think the steel...

Opinions on Rebarreling a Rem. 25/06?

I have one (25-06) that's over 3k rounds through it. Still holds under an inch for now. When I re-barrel I'll go with a 26" in the same cartridge. Nothing wrong with any of the Pac-Nor barrels on my others, so I'll go there most likely.

    6.5x55

I'm running IMR4350 and 142 ABLR in mine. Getting sub-.5" groups, low ES and 2800 fps
