    243 bullets shooting quite different.

here too, Winchester M70 .243, doesn't like 100s. Heaviest it likes is 85gr.

    243 bullets shooting quite different.

The 243 twist rate is too slow for heavier weight bullets. 100gr is where you’ll start to see issues. Some shoot ok, others not. That’s the benefit of the newer cartridges like the 6mm CM, faster twist rates.

    Browning .30-06 Semi Reloading Advice

I have hunted with a Browning 30-06 BAR Safari (steel receiver) for quite a few years. They are strong guns, fast pointing, and very accurate. Nothing more fun than squeezing off a couple at a running target! They have mild recoil for an '06, I'd say similar to a bolt action hard butt plate 243...

    Help chosing an Elk Cartridge.

It’s hard to beat the 7mm Rem Mag for versatility in a light weight 24” platform. Lots of ammo selection, plenty of power, flat shooting out to intended range, and doesn’t kick significantly differently than a 30-06. If you hand load and get a fast twist barrel you can load the heavier weight...

    28 nosler vs 7RM

Well, been hunting with the N28 for two seasons now. It’s a very capable long range round. What sets it apart from the 7mm Rem (and I have always been a 7mm Rem) is that it shoots so flat. From most hunting situations it’s just point and shoot. Agreed it really only makes sense if you hand...

    Good value scope?

The reticle statement about the Burris Veracity is not true for the E1 FFP Varmint. It has 2 MOA hash marks above the horizontal and hold over below.

    Black Bear Hunting, 2017

The jackets are too thin on the A-max for consistent penetration. When Hornady first released them they noted them as not for hunting. You can get away with them on thin skinned game but I would be leery of them on thick skinned game, especially ones that fight back. And yes, I've killed...

Need a good set up to clean my brass . Help please

I use Lyman's Turbo case pre cleaner and then just a vibratory tumbler with corn cob and walnut shell mix. The Turbo case cleaner drastically speeds up the tumbling, plus a bottle lasts a very long time.

    practical SCOPE ???

You might want to check out the Burris Veracity. They are a lot of scope for the money. Compared to my Vipers (3 of them) the Veracity is noticeably clearer. Plus I like the Veracity's turrets and zero stop better.

    AR-10 for whitetail

PackersFanboy; "AR10 will reach pressure sooner than bolt guns don't use their data" Can you explain how a AR10 reaches pressure sooner than a bolt action.

    AR-10 for whitetail

I use standard 308 FL dies from Reading. I've loaded for several different AR-10s without issues. Typically I use CCI primers, but have used others without any noticeable difference. I've taken several whitetails with the Ar-10. Double tapping with an AR on deer is a fun experience.
