When you change brass manufacturers, need to work the load up again. Internal brass dimensions and neck tension will vary, therefore, so does pressure. Can also occur with different manufacturing dates of the same manufacturer brass.

Forgot to give props where they are deserved. Checked a 7 Rem Mag barrel made by Criterion for a Savage. SUPERB! Not a tool mark in this barrel.....at all. ....and this barrel shoots VERY well.

Excellent barrel. Still impressed. Zero at 100 yards with 208 Amax and HPBT's. Learning the come up to 300, 8" gong is no problem.

The gas tube does not detract from the barrel being free floated. Tube passes through the upper with little to no contact.
