I use a level to mount my scopes.After the mounting i do not use one.I shoot bench out to 600 yards now and i have not had a issue yet. I do want to get one,but other more important things are calling first.

JohnBZ--Yes it will work great. I have same scope on my 308. I have no problem seeing holes from 223's out to 450 yards with it. It beats a spotting scope hands down.Field of view is smaller ,but all we need to see is the target any how.

Hope i don't come across wrong here. I have a stock Savage Model 12 FVSS. I shoot quarter size groups or smaller at 300 yards all day with it. Just got a Savage Model 10 FP in a 308. I can shoot 1 inch groups at 300 yards with it already and have only started working on a load for it.

Yes those are stock off the shelf Savage rifles. They are the BR series rifles as you can tell. Every year Savage stock BR rifles win some compatiton. They beat out 5000.00 rifles all the time. Don't get this wrong those custom rifles win many many times over too.
