    Hornady "LOCK-AN-LOAD" progressive press question!!

I had a 650 for awhile and like you if you leave it set for one Cartridge and load it works great. To change though it’s a PITa just for a few hundred rounds. I sold it to a good friend of mine. Year or two went by and I decided to try the Hornady lnl. It has it’s quirks to but it’s a far user...

Should we start to boycot these high prices?

Well since the powder and primer companies are raking in cash hand over fist. Why don’t you start your own powder/primer company and charge normal prices? Show those companies how it’s easy to keep cost down!

What rifles you guys running for varmint hunting?

What varmints are you after? If your after predators or squirrels changes things. However it’s hard to go wrong with a good old .223 Remington for 90% of what’s out there. My go to rifle for predators is a tikka t3 222 with leupold 3.5-10. Works on everything from 10ft to 300yrds. With ground...

Caliber Recommendation for 600 Yard Sheep Rifle

270 Win or 7 mag both should be easy to find ammo for. Wouldn’t worry about bears, if one is actually going to give you problems it’s going to be within 50yrds and that’s the guides job.

Help with accurizing Winchester model 70 264 WinMag

I’ve wanted a 264 win mag model 70 since I was old enough to understand ballistic tables. I’ve owned several over the years and not one of them shot better then mediocre. Maybe that caliber and me are cursed. I’d either have it rebarreled or sell it as is.

    Creative ways to cut weight?

Ditch the huge scope, ditch the heavy barrel, ditch the bipod. Put a 3.5-10 or 2.5-8 leupold in Talley rings on a tikka t3 in whatever caliber strikes yours fancy. Weight saved and still good to 500.

450 Bushmaster or 300 WBY for Black Bear?

Lol Phil S. stole my handle! When I tried setting up an account a few years ago on AR it said it was already taken. Didn’t know by who until a couple years ago. Anyhow the grizz was 60 yrds and Barnes 270gr TSX. I was actually after a caribou when I saw the bear. Much prefer the nosler...

450 Bushmaster or 300 WBY for Black Bear?

Either one. Anything from a .243 on up for blackies. 270 up for Grizz. Once you get the hide off a bear, body wise they are not that large. Shot placement will be far more important then caliber. Here is a Grizzly I got yesterday. Used my .375 just because I like the rifle but would of been...

    Brown bear Rifle

If a 200gr partition from a 300win mag doesn’t kill it then nothing else will either. Once you get the hide off a bear they are not nearly as big as they seem. That being said if you want a new rifle get one, if you need a muzzle brake get a smaller caliber. Most of my bears have been with the...

    Side Arm for Grizzly Country

Wise man. If your using a pistol on a bear if you get off more then 3rds the bear wasn’t a threat to you. To each there own but I see it time and time again that the argument for a 10mm is how many rounds in the magazine. When a bear is on top chewing on you and your 10 goes click or jams from...
