I have lived here in North central Wyoming only a few years , but in 3 hunting seasons I have spent alot of time wishing for more cover and less wind!!!! I have one spot i go where if the cross wind is less then about 40 mph its consider a still day!!!!!:)

Put a request on " Accurate Shooter.com" Forum. Someone there always has 7mm BR brass. I just got rid of 175 rem. cases that were used but still usable. :) Once you get good brass, either reformed 6mm br or rem. 7mm br brass they last about forever.

I always had the best luck with H4831 in Winchester brass. I used a Standard primer all the time. CCI BR2 mostly. I used this with all bullet weights and just adjusted powder charge. Work well with all weight bullets. 85 gr to 120gr .

The best rifle for any elk hunt is the one you shoot the best!!!! Either one will kill elk to a long range with proper bullets. The one that consistently hits the mark from any and all postions is the one to use!:)
