I echo shinbone - I am a hunter first and all of my rifles are set at 2lbs. I have a Trigger tech trigger that I installed on a Remington 700 in a 300 RUM set at 2lbs and that is the best feeling trigger I have ever pulled. Strongly recommend trying Trigger tech.
I use the round pad you sit on for my rear pad hunting (it is black on one side and Camo on the other). I clip it on my pack and I can use it to sit on and/or pad for rear of gun. It works great and is very light. I squeeze it to raise and lower the butt end of my rifle.
Trying to downsize:
