My wife just made a comment and rolled her eyes when she asked what I was looking at. I can't seem to get her excited about looking at a fine looking meat missile. Let's see, left to right, 250 Berger, 215 Berger, 195 Berger, 177 Hammer, 180 Berger, 140 Berger and 124 Hammer. I don't think I'll get the 30 SM running this year, I'm still looking for that perfect barrel for ELR and it's slowing me up. Im about half way through taking a mint Ruger M77 tang safety and rechambering it to 338 MEGA to launch 250's from a classic looking elk rifle. Not feeling the 28 Nosler this year, just don't need the distances it's been most valuable at so I'll probably be pushing 195 Bergers or 177 HH from the 7MAX, though it likes the 180's too. The 6.5 SS is just about back in the game, new brass and 600 140 Bergers just waiting, it might get some air time too. And then my daughters 6.5 Creedmore which is know as "Pinwheel" always runs 124 HH.
Kinda torn this year, the MAX is primed but a little more work and the SS is back in the game and it's killed so many elk in the 800 yard+ range it's like taking an old friend!! Should be starting to pack back in and shoot some data where we are going to stack some bulls up!!
