“Hammered” a big ol’ Muley!

Nice buck! What were the circumstances and location? If you are in Colorado, based on his antlers, I think he is a mixed breed deer. Still a muley, but based on the right antler, he might have a few WT genes in there. It is rare, but it has been documented in CO.

Have this white tail on the camera. Now he needs to show himself during daylight. I've nicknamed him sharky as it looks like he has big ole neck Gilles like a bull shark.
Great shooting OP BTW.

Hell of a hunt! I've never done such an involved hunt, but this is motivation to start training and planning for next year.
Thanks for sharing. It looks like an epic adventure.
Also, I love that you include the rifle in the photos. Always interesting to see what everyone is shooting. 👍

I love that you made your hunt an adventure. Even if you had no success, 7 days in the back country is a memory in and of itself.
I killed a dandy bull in Utah with my 28 last month and 177g Hammer Hunters. I'm curious what powder you are shooting behind your 169's?
Great report and memorable experience for sure!
