I use only the bolt lift resistance for checking pressure since the brass is the weakest link.

For me the Swarovski would positively be out. The Leopold VX6 4- 24X is the one I would go with since I had both that one and the Swarovski at the same time.

When I started using expensive scopes I stated lapping rings. The companies say they don't need lapping. How do they know how accurately the action is machined. I have yet to see rings clean up immediately. They all need lapping.

What do you mean by "failure"? If I get half a dozen loads before a case no longer holds a primer, it's good to go.
