Split case stuck in 223 sizing die

Watching to learn. You know, the electric fence thing. What part of Texas?

"My" never leave the local gun store empty-handed rule ...

I'm not gay, but 8# of 8208 is 8# of 8208…. I’ve never even seen this stuff in person before. Like RL26

    SOLD/EXPIRED 18 in 6.5 creedmoor small shank

Do you know who chambered it? Do you have any info on the loads you tried in it? Was wondering if hotter loads might stabilize 140ish grain loads.

What profile is the barrel? Muzzle diameter just back of the muzzle threads?

    Injured and out

It’s hard but hang in there. You have a pretty hard road ahead of you. But it could have been way worse. A year or four from now you will look back on this and laugh. Hmm. Maybe not. Now that’s out if the way, the important question. How’s the bike? If you laugh it’s gonna hurt. Thoughts...

Anyone hand loading subsonic Hornady 255gr Sub-X’s in their 7.62x39’s yet?

Some guys a few years ago were playing with a “7.62x39 Jackhammer “, AK round with a faster twist for heavy/or subsonic. Mostly in the AR platform. I have a AR barrel here in 1-8” twist. Just got sidetracked on other projects. I wanted to try one in a bolt action, savage barrel shank, but then...

Might try bumping your loads up until they go supersonic. If they still go sideways, yeah you’re prob not gonna have enough twist with that heavy long bullet. If it shoots ok, drop your charges until just barely subsonic.

    Neck tension question

Sarcasm font Porter Precision Products. Great guy making great products. His system allows you to get mandrels in just about any size you could need. Not just what the manufacturer thinks you need. If you want to experiment with changing neck internal diameter and mandrels, this is the one.

    Scope recommendations for Prairie Dogs

And if you have a suppressor, take it. Maybe not the best choice if you are a high volume AR shooter. Dogs stay up much more without the muzzle blast. Pups don’t seem to have a clue. You can talk to your buddies when shooting and spotting.

    Scope recommendations for Prairie Dogs

When you quickly upgrade the rifle after getting hooked, you already have a decent scope.

    Scope recommendations for Prairie Dogs

Arken EP5 is pretty good, especially for the money. I have had my zero stop slip during a Rifles Only class and had to quickly rezero. I had a backup but wanted to test it out. The eye box on mine, with my eyes, is pretty tight. My eye has to be just right on any higher useful zoom.

    Scope recommendations for Prairie Dogs

I just got back from my first PD trip. VinceMule gave me some pretty good advice and pointers. I had an Athlon Chronus on one rifle that I was wringing out, backup rifle had an old Vortex PST Gen 1 in 6x24. I figured the old scope would be ok. Shooting in bright daylight. Not so much. Found out...
