I have a long throated McGowan 300 wsm with 1/9 22”. I tried h4350, h4831sc,h1000,h100v and n560 with 200gr. Eldx. All gave me between 2795-2850. H4350,h100v and n560 all gave me 3/4” at 100 yds.

Yes. Mine was mid front shoulder stopped under the opposite side hide. Expanded to .458”. I don’t think I would shoot at 150 yards. There wouldn’t be enough expansion or energy unless it was a spinal shot.

I use 308 Win. 190 Hornady subs. They shoot great to 150 yards. The buck I shot at 100 yards last season expired 15 feet after impact and the impact was louder than the shot.

I’m load developing that bullet in a tikka t3x 22” 1-9 twist with n560,h4350,hybrid100 and h1000 60-70 grains all 2800-2850. They will fit in a short action. Hope this helps.
