    Fast twist 25cal build

I'm a big fan of the fast twist 25s. I have a 25 creed, 25 SST, 25-06 and a 25 PRC. 25 creed is the easy button, if you're okay with a longer barrel, I'd go that route. If you want to keep your speed up with a shorter barrel, the 25 PRC is a great option. I started building when the blackjack...

    Scope recommendations for Prairie Dogs

Whatever you choose, I recommend keeping your low end magnification at 6x or lower. I had difficulty finding dogs at 8x at times

    Suppressor wrap

    New member WV

@harrdogg welcome from Charleston, WV Have you shot at Whitehorse in Buckhannon? They have 600 yd F class and 600 and 1,000 yd bench rest competition. Great group is guys, and good opportunity to work on long range shooting

    16-18" data

I know this is outside of your parameters, but, for deer, I've settled on an 18" 6mm creed shooting 105 AMAX at 3040 fps with RL26 (substitute 108 or 109 ELDM or similar). Does great on deer, even the old 105 is doing over 2k fps at 600 yards. The newer, higher BC bullets would be even better...

TBAC Ultra 5.30 Barrel Adapter Search

I've been meaning to make a post about this adapter. IF you have the CB threads on your TB, this is an amazing adapter option. I just got a pair in and am very happy with them. This style allows for switching between adapters and rifles much faster and easier, without locktite. I, didn't...

    Lightweight Rifle Build

I agree with all of this except "Your comments about a longer barrel will give higher velocity and less muzzle flip counteract each other. Muzzle flip or jump is simply a product of the amount of energy put into a rifle system. Longer barrel means more velocity, more velocity means more recoil...

    Lightweight Rifle Build

If 308 was enough gun for what you're hunting, and you want to go lightweight on the build, I'd be looking to go down in cartridge size, not up. Light rifles are great to carry, but can be tough to shoot well. I'd look towards 6mm or 25 Creed. Those have become my favorite deer size game cartridges

    Christensen Arms Ridgeline 300 WSM

CA Ridgeline in 300 WSM, less than 40 rounds fired. 24" barrel, weighs 6.6 lbs. Trigger is set to 2.5 lbs, hinged floorplate. Shot sub-MOA with Winchester Supreme 150gr Ballistic Silvertips. Really nice rifle, feels great in the hand, I just ended up with a full custom 300 WSM and don't need...

Q Fix with the big-butt, the 8 inch scope rail, and a proof 16.5" barrel chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 1:7 twist Barrel has about 160 rounds on it. Feeds magpul mags very well, will come with one mag. Comes with original box, 1 small picatinny section and a Sawtooth ARCA rail installed...

    Nightforce NXS 8-32x56 MOAR-T C509

I'm the original owner, was mounted on a 25 Creedmoor. Couple small dings from bumping other rifles in the safe, otherwise excellent condition. I've shot this scope at 1000 yards and hunted with it a couple times. Performs flawlessly. Illuminated red reticle. Ships in factory box with NF...

Savage 10FCP with Proof 6.5 Creedmoor carbon barrel

One of my favorite builds. I bought the Savage new and installed a new Proof Research 6.5 Creedmoor 8 twist 24" carbon fiber barrel. Load development was a breeze with this barrel, I shot 143 gr ELDX blem bullets over H4350 into a 8.8" group at 1,000 yards. I hunted with it twice and got 3 deer...

    95gr .224 Sierra match king

Update on an old thread in case anyone is researching. I built a 22 creed with a 25" 6.5 tw barrel. Shooting the 95 SMK at 3200 with no issues. Plan to shoot hammers for hunting deer with it.

    What cartridge?

I'll second 22 creed. 77 TMK or 80 ELDM or a hammer bullet are all perfect for deer. Lots of speed, extremely low recoil.
