    Never Spoil your Bird Dog!

I dont remember the name of that roto rooter meds the vet gave our pup, but he bazooka pooped enough for 3 pups for an hour. We insisted he get an xray that confirmed the position of the cloth obstruction. We got lucky it showed up. Pups are worse than little kids sometimes.

    Never Spoil your Bird Dog!

You and your dog are extremely lucky the pup didn't get obstructed. The pup may have been a member of the zipper club. Many years ago, my new pup lab chewed a pair of my shorts and got corked up. Took him to the emergency vet and they gave some roto rooter meds. He passed the cloth and we were...

    BL-C (2) in .308 Win - What the heck???

I always thought that, "start low and load up to max pressure or nice accurate shots, whichever comes first," was the golden rule??? Besides, most accurate loads come in at something less than max pressure. Of course keeping speed up is a must for proper expansion, but using 130gr bullets...

    BL-C (2) in .308 Win - What the heck???

Just for academic purposes, I got curious and tried to cram all the blc2 I could into a brand new never fired lake city case. I bought 1500 (hs 14, 15, and 16) of them a few years ago from a contract cancelation. I used a 6 inch drop and vibrated the cases and could only squeeze 51.8 in it. Not...

I know your wanting to use blc2. But I have to ask why? Do you HAVE to use this? I also have a pretty good stash of blc2 and wc846 that I keep mostly for shtf. But I do use a little from time to time. So I understand your wanting to use this. It's a good powder, easy to load, plentiful (sort of)...

    BL-C (2) in .308 Win - What the heck???

Your concerns are well known to many folks. Too many questions to take their word for it. Which I wouldn't do anyway. I always have a safety margine when i workup loads. But, the case in point: when you find this type of issue, call the manufacturer and ask about it. Get them to explain it. It's...

    BL-C (2) in .308 Win - What the heck???

If possible, take both bullets and set side by side. Carefully compare them. Most of the different length you speak of comes from the bullet tip. The tsx is a hp. The ttsx has a polymer tip. The ttsx tip length protrudes into the chamber as does the tsx. I know this is confusing, it boggles my...

When I read manufacturers loads, I do so with a grain of salt. I never completly trust their figures. There are too many variables. (Primers, cases, equipment etc..) I use them as a starting point ONLY. Your milage will vary.
