    Hunting with and without suppressor?

My experience is the same - suppressors disturb game way less, which can be very important if you're hunting for several days in the same area. Older, smarter animals can clear out after hearing unsuppressed shots.

    Info on 300 75AA

I think he described it as a necked-down 416 Rigby, so a slightly bigger cartridge than the 404 Jeffery.

What’s your five? 5 Calibers to do it all...

Don’t need 5. Three have done me for the last dozen years, across N America, Europe. Asia & Africa: .22 LR 6.5 CM .404 Jeffery

    Scenars for hunting

My experience with both 123gr & 139gr Scenars pushed quite fast in a Creedmoor, across a wide range of deer sized game, is that they expand consistently, but also exit. I believe the lead may be harder than other cup & core bullets.

Whats the cartridge you LOVE to HATE?

The 6.5 Creedmoor, because here in the UK we can’t get half the ammunition & bullet choices you guys have in America. Irritating because I’ve shot Muntjac, Roe, Fallow, Reds, Asian Elk & European Boar with it in lead bullets…but now we’ve got to change to copper & we have so few options it’s...

What’s your favorite caliber for deer?

.256”/6.5mm Shot my first Red & Roe with 6.5x54 Mannlicher back in the mid ‘70s. Tried .243/25-06/.308 and all have their strengths. But I now shoot 6.5 Creedmoor and I won’t be changing. From Boar at 20 yards to Maral (Asian Elk) at 590 yards, it hasn’t let me down.

Is the 6.5 creedmoor the new 30/30?

    Probably Deserves to be!

6.5 Creedmoor 156 gr Norma Alaska bullet

All those Scandinavian 156gr 6.5mm bullets are great in terms of terminal impact, and they can be very accurate. The main issue is wind drift. They move about twice as far as a 143 ELD-X, which begins to be an issue even at 200 yards. For example: 10mph wind at 90 degrees = 5.5" @200 yd &...

Hate to Do This: 6.5 CM vs 6.5 PRC

Great bullet placement on those bucks. Says everything really!

    Good Colorado buck

What a stunner! Shape, mass and a really interesting dark coat.

Why no bonded version of the ELD-X?

Norma claimed to have solved this problem with their new Bondstrike range. G1 of 0.629 in 143gr 6.5mm; G1 of 0.615 in 180gr .308 calibre. It's factory loaded in a range of those two calibres. Anybody tried it??

    Carbon Wrapped Hunting Rifle

I can vouch for the Proof Barrel/B&C Stock combination - but my action is a Cooper. I think the Remington route will give you more flexible custom options, and some would argue the Proof barrel is superior.
