Seekins for me - waiting to pick up my Element in 6.5 PRC tomorrow. My PH1 in 6 CM shot very well, so I have great expectations for this PRC.

I have both and prefer the 22 Creed, but I'm not looking to change your mind. Back to the OP - standard 22-250 is a great round and I'm sure it'll hammer just like everyone else's tikkas.

I’d go with the 22-250 and get all the speed you can out of it. You could have even more fun by reaming it out to a 22 Creedmoor :)

1:8 is fine - my 22-250 AI shoots the 88 ELDM very well. As for reamer, I can’t really help too much. My 22 CM had a .090” throat (I’d have to double check). It seems to work well even with longer projectiles like the 95 SMK.

I start .020” off the lands and then if needed, adjust in 0.020” increments.

My 1:8 Seekins was no harder to load for than my 1:7.5 Bartlein.

I've done several stocks with the sponge method. Here are a couple of mine. Definitely use a clear coat to seal and help it be more durable. I prefer a matte clear coat. 338 RUM: Savage Rascal (his and hers for my 2 kids):
