    220 Swift build….

Not sensitive to summer temp? Varget and H4350. Varget has a tremendous pressure spike, so try H4350 with 55's. I always shot AA2700, but lot# maybe very different from today's. AA2700, the hotter you shot it, the better it shot, right up to difficult extraction. So, we shot 1.5g below Max...

    220 Swift build….

22 creed =22/250 AI 22/243 and AI are a step up in performance, but the EASY button is the 22 Creed Kick it up another notch, go 22 6 Rem AI, with 80s at 3800 being top end, and 3650 fps and never use a full length sizer.

    220 Swift build….

I mentioned earlier in the thread where I hunted with a guy that shot a 220 Swift AI with tremendous success. The swift AI is on par with a 22-243 AI, but cases can be made from a variety of 308 Winchester variants with Swift brass being hard to find. I mentioned this earlier in the...

    Portable shooting bench recommendations

The larry willis shooting bench is what I use. I bought my first one like this in 1985. The bench is so sturdy, you could have a 250 lb gal do a lap dance on one and it would not budge! I made a couple of modifications. a. I added two handles on the front, and one on the back B. I cut V...

    280 AI load data

Bi Pods, depending on the type, can cause major issues. Try gripping the forearm and pulling back and down at a 45* angle vs squeezing the rear bag, expect to see a major change. I showed this technique to a retired marine sniper and he was blown away at the immediate improvement.

    280 AI load data

The bullet is in the barrel approximately .200 of an inch during rifle recoil, which some refer to as "barrel time". How you handle recoil, gun placement in the bag, how sturdy the forearm is held in the rest, all come into play with many other issues of gun handling. Light weight rigs can be...

    2 Wolves in 2 Days - Ontario

+1 Been going on for a long time. Another side of the coin is how much money insurance companies POUR into the coffers of the Bureacrats that make decisions. Less big game = less collisions with cars = larger profit margins! Insurance companies are a much larger part of the equation than most...

Removing invector choke, replacing with rem choke…? Is it possible?!

I run full and extra full chokes with Large shot including buckshot for predators. Pattern at 40 yards and beyond if that is where you expect to take shots at. Bubba Round Tree on You tube is a wealth of information on large shot patterns that are just mind blowing in how tight they can...
