    Favorite uncommon calibers

I would say that right now it’s 5.7 Johnson. But there’s the 45 win mag in an M1 carbine and a couple of automag IV’s The 30 carbine in a calico, ragging 30, M1 carbine pistol, M1 carbine, and a couple automag III’s. There’s the sako bolt action pistol in 250 savage. I can’t decide, maybe list a...

    Favorite uncommon calibers

I have 3 of the BF arms (ea brown bought the rights to the pistol) in 7mm super mag. I have not shot them much but I grew up in Grand Island when they were being produced there and didn’t even know about them. So when I found out I started looking for them

New info on Chronic Wasting Disease

https://www.reddeeradvocate.com/uncategorized/examining-the-roots-of-cwd-and-bse-7079279 I have never put a link in here before so I hope it works This is just a short snippet of Mark Purdey’s stuff

New info on Chronic Wasting Disease

The deer in the pens were caused by them being fed high concentrations of manganese to promote better antler growth. To much oxidizer and not enough antioxidant in the diet. Again look up Mark Purdey

New info on Chronic Wasting Disease

If you can still find it you should look up Mark Purdie (I probably spelled it wrong) on his research into mad cow disease and the other forms of the disease. He linked the mad cow in in the UK to the government trying to eradicate the warbler fly I think CWD could be linked to the corn that...

    Hornady Brass Opinions

How many companies is Hornady making brass for at this time

    6.5mm - 25cal = .007"

We have factory loaded ammunition for 22, 6mm, and 6.5 creedmoor. So someone should compare those and see what it shows. I would use Hornady just because they load all 3 and would be the same type bullet. It doesn’t matter if it’s a bullet that you would hunt with just so long as the BC’s are...

    6.5mm - 25cal = .007"

The main thing is keeping the bullet above the minimum expansion velocity. And if you take the creedmoor case in every caliber with a bullet of the same bc the smaller caliber will always be faster.

How Much energy is too little?

Nebraska deer regs. requires 800 ft/lb at 100yd for rifle and 400 ft/lb at 50 yd for handguns. Nothing is said about energy at impact. Ranges where I am at can be really long

44 Magnum +P for Ruger Carbine?

Ruger 44 carbine likes the hotter loads to function. But like it has been said what is to hot. I would like to know what factory ammunition that is hot enough for a Ruger 44 carbine to reliably cycle

    Barrel timing

I have been wondering how one times drilling the gas port so it winds up in a groove.

    Sako 85 Longrange .338lm Eliminator3 RFI

I have had the eliminator iii and the eliminator iv. The iv has a very better laser on it. But they have a range limitation on the ballistics. It will give you a range on the iv way farther than you can get a hold dot The eliminator 6 is out now and it doesn’t have a range limit on it

    300 Dakota vs 300 WSM

I love my 300 Dakota with the 155 grain class bullet it can keep up with a 30-375 weatherby. I ran it for a few years with the 110 grain X bullet. Man that was fun. I don’t shoot it anymore. I want to save the life that it has left. But I do have an unfired ruger precision barrel chambered in...
