I own a few of the scopes on your list and have looked through and handled all of them. I would go with the Trijicon ten mile 3-18. Or like the post above mentions don’t overlook the bushnell LRHS.

Thats kinda what I thought when I pulled the barrel off. Thought I would just ask here and see what kinda feed back I would get. I’m still not clear on if using a traditional bolt action barrel vice will damage anything or how it would damage anything. Or if it is just convenience and or easier...

Ok I will get one coming. Just when I thought I had all I needed lol. I do hope I didn’t screw anything up cuz I did use the barrel vice to remove the nut. Everything looks ok so maybe not.

May be a dumb question. Can I use my barrel vice I use on my bolt guns (it’s a viper) to swap a barrel on an AR? Or do I have to use an upper vice block? Thanks

I have this same range finder. It works really well. The ballistic solver in it is always spot on for all the shooting I do out to 1400. There good units.

I have been using a Larry Willis head space gauge for the last few years. Best I have tried so far. This combined with the stripping the bolt method seems to work the best for me.

Is the little lock nut on top of the dial tightened down properly? it can wander a little if not. especially if you’re trying to do seating depth testing and your turning it a lot it won’t track properly. Otherwise I agree the brass is prob the culprit.

This may be a dumb question, but is this your first time using Whidden micrometer die? Do you have it set up correctly?

I just built one. I used 4d reamer rentals. He has a good match reamer in 284win then I had it throated for 162s.

That is a whole other discussion. You can’t change the rules for everyone to be inclusive to a person with a disability.

If you believe a rifle scope dose not allow you to shoot farther we can’t really have a discussion. It allows you to squeeze every last bit of range out of your weapon where with iron sights your eye may limit you. Remember the point of muzzle loader seasons the weapon is supposed to be primitive.
