Oh... derp... that makes sense. I can live with that. Does a .22LR (rimfire) require an SBR? Brownells sells a lower for an AR15 that converts it to a .22 rimfire. I have a long barrel version and it's a lot of fun. I'd like to try the short barrel version and put a can on it.

Yeah screw that. I have 3 other uppers, different calibers, with "normal" length barrels. I'm not going to dedicate a lower to a short barrel that'll probably shoot like crap anyway. Thanks for the answer though :D

Have you looked at the Ruger American? I have one in .300BLK. I rebarreled it with a prefit barrel only because I wanted a 1:6 twist so I can shoot heavy bullets. For the price it has been a good rifle.

I've got an order in with them. Paid with Amex. Not thru PayPal dot sucks. If I don't get a ship notice from them in another day or two I'll report it as fraud and get my money back. The order status is "pending". This is not a good time for sellers to have "pending" orders for very long.
