Do a light neck tension, load a 162 long and do a 'jam' and see what ur CBTO & COAL measures so you know for ur rifle where that bullet hit ur lands. I never use published info for lengths and instead measure MY chamber and set everything based on how it is cut

I’ve got about 12lbs of RL23 for hunting loads but was thinking about picking up some N560 and N565 to do some load development/ testing. 280AI with 160AB, 168vldh and 180vldh. Also hope to find some 175EH to test.

Lance, how are your 280ai loads using VV565 compared to RL23 for 160-180g class bullets? Have you been able to achieve similar speed & accuracy?

Could you be sizing the neck too much? What is ur neck diameter of a loaded round? 0.333 neck seems a bit small unless you have really thin brass or are neck turning. With a 0.308 bullet this is only 0.025” of brass thickness total. Just grasping at straws…🤷‍♂️

No, it is a 1 degree 20min which equates to 1.3333°. Most throat angles are 1degree 30min or 1.5°
