I'm by no means defending anything. Like I said before the majority of my shooting is done with berger and Sierra now. I'm just trying to cut through the crap and try to get down to why so much negativity.
I used to shoot hornady products but have since switched over to mostly berger and sierra. Not because of marketing, but because they just weren't as consistent. I still use the eld-m as my sole hunting bullet because they kill things like crazy.

We get those big bodied northern bucks and we also have a butt load of black bear. We kill them with our 6.5s and 6mms. Archery too. Heck just to prove a point I'm planning on killing a black bear with my 223 this year.
