How does it do on accuracy? with only the drive bands touching seems like it might come out of barrel wonky or wobbling some? Any suggestions on powder for a 18" gas Grendel? I could use some more velocity.
Copper can group and shoot great. Problem is distance shooting will be less with most brands due to velocity needed to function of 2000 fps. As long as you can live with the reduced range they work great. If you want to maximize your potential range and you can accurately shoot to that range...
That 175gr ELD will not stabilize in that twist most likely, there website says 8.5 or faster. I used it with 168gr Berger. It was okay, didn't get any groups I wanted to pursue really and SD's were high. Went with retumbo better groups and SD's. The heaviest long-range bullet I could find that...
Hornady has been saying that's why their ammo speeds are not reaching advertised speeds they cant get powders they were designed with, so they are using slower but accurate powders instead of just not making ammo. It's just going to get worse before its better, if it ever gets better. I have...
There is nothing wrong with your brass, if you are loading for hunting. But if you want to sale it, PM me with how many and price? Hornady is all I have used in 6.5 PRC and I get great loads and groups.
your brass will work out fine. I've used a lot of Hornady brass. Just cut back on your lube to a very light coating on shoulder and body and a little inside of case neck. You may have some inside your die. clean it out well too. just turn die down to holder and then in 1/8 turns size and see if...
You need to show the dent. You have to turn die until it bumps shoulder enough to chamber. So we need to see dent. You may be using to much lube that is causing the dents.
I have friend needs quick money. Selling his XPR 6.8 western at very good price. it's wood laminate version. He is a very light casual hunter. Has not even hunted with this gun. He doesn't have a scale but said trigger is great about 3lbs he thinks. I doubt it is that good. Anyone have an XPR...
Hornady CX or Barnes Vor-tx is about all you can find for factory...but going to 800yds in 6.5prc would be hard due to velocity and bullet performance. I'm thinking 650-700 max
